About
As a new instructor in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, I started ISR DFW to help other families avoid experiencing the same tragedy my family went through. The ISR mission Not One More Child Drowns is very near and dear to my heart. I've made it my goal to reach as many families as I can with the incredible Self-Rescue techniques.

I have realized that many people learn about ISR from friends that have been through the program. I learned about the ISR program, from a friend, just a few days after losing my 2 year old son and my father-in-law to drowning. We were in the pool quite often, but they never knew how to swim. As his parents, we never realized the threat the water posed to our son. We had a gate separating the pool from the house, and he was even under adult supervision at the time he fell in the pool. My point is this: You never know what could happen. I still tell myself, years after losing him, that I can't believe this happened to us.
Drowning is the LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH for children 1-4 years old. It is also PREVENTABLE!!!
My husband and I were both born and raised in Dallas. When we lost Ethan & Rolando, we moved away to the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. We spent a couple of amazing years there and had our second son, Jake. When he turned two, we decided it was time to move back to Dallas to be near our family and friends. Three years later, we had our son Ben, and three years after that, we had our first daughter - Catherine. It was after Ben was born that I decided to look into joining ISR as an instructor. I told my husband that I wanted our story to help other people. I went through my training at the beginning of 2019 and got certified in March. Teaming up with my sister, Shanon, and some other great instructors in the DFW metroplex, I hope to help ISR reach as many families as possible.
